Figma has acquired Weavy and rebrands it as Figma Weave. Weave runs in the browser and combines leading AI models with pro editing on one canvas. Designers can pick models for tasks like cinematic video, realistic renders, or precise image control. They can then adjust lighting, mask objects, and color grade. Every output becomes a building block for the next, creating a flexible, AI-native media pipeline.

Why it matters for designers
Weave uses a node-based workflow. Designers can branch, remix, and refine AI outputs instead of stopping at the first prompt. This gives more control over look, feel, and polish. Use it for staging visuals, motion and VFX, social content, and product mock assets. The goal is to keep human craft at the center while AI speeds exploration and iteration.
