YAPA has been launched as the UK’s first home phone designed for children aged 5–14, in collaboration with Aetha. The WiFi-enabled device was created to support independent communication while limiting screen time and social media use. A familiar home phone form has been combined with a small display and interchangeable cases, handsets and stickers. Calls are managed through a parental app, allowing incoming and outgoing contacts to be controlled. Simple communication, parental control and customisation are brought together in one home-based device.
