In collaboration with the European Space Agency and Politecnico di Milano, we designed Epsilon to tackle Space Motion Sickness (SMS), which affects up to 70% of astronauts in the first days of spaceflight. By studying the vestibular system, we focused on two breakthrough solutions: a bone conduction device from Otolith Labs to ease nausea by redirecting inner-ear signals and ultrasonic acoustic levitation to simulate gravitational effects.
Epsilon combines these technologies into a sleek, over-ear wearable that integrates bone conduction, adjustable levitation speakers, and targeted acupressure for all-day comfort. A quick-attach charging case, secure on the astronaut’s thigh in zero-gravity, ensures Epsilon is always charged and ready for relief.
